How does mist cooling work?

It's all about the pump, baby.

Water is pumped at high pressure (1000 PSI) through stainless steel tubing and then out microscopic holes in the mist nozzles.

These holes are 1/10th the diameter of a human hair and produce a water droplet so small it "flash evaporates" the moment it hits the hot air, cooling the air up to 30 degrees.

Anyone that's ever bought one of those cheap hardware store systems knows that without a pump, everything ends up getting soaked.
